Students and staff at Wickersley Sixth Form are celebrating another year of strong academic achievement following the release of the 2026 A-level and vocational examination results. Marking four consecutive years of improving performance, this year’s cohort of 158 students, a significant increase from 117 in 2025, achieved exceptional results across STEM, humanities, languages, social sciences, and vocational subjects.

The average point score per A-level entry rose to 37.35, placing student performance above the national average. The overall average grade held firm at a strong B-, matching national benchmarks. Applied General pathways also showed strong upward momentum, with the average point score increasing from 32.24 to 33.26 and maintaining an average grade of Distinction- for the fourth consecutive year.
