‘Rotherham Broadcasting CIC’ currently consists of the ‘Rother Radio’ brand.
‘HMR Media’ is a sister brand that supplies technical support to us such as our Mobile App.

2. What Data Do We Collect From You?

Any personal information that you provide to us may be shared across our brands and may be used in the ways described in this Privacy Statement.

When you click on adverts or links which take you away from any Rother Radio website or Mobile App, you should know that we have no control over the content or privacy practices of those other platforms. We advise you to check their privacy policies before providing your information to them.

Rother Radio and HMR Media collects Personal Data in a number of ways, such as, entering a competition or when you interact with us via a website, mobile app or other digital services. This Personal Data could include:

  • Contact information, your name; postal address; email address; phone number.
  • Comments, photos, videos and other content that you choose to publish or share with us.
  • Information you provide when participating in a competition; survey; event or apply for a job.
  • Location information, where you provide it.

We do no obtain information about you from Third Parties.

5. Personal Information Relating To Children

We do not knowingly use the personal information of children under 16 years of age either directly or indirectly.

6. Who Do We Share Your Information With?

We have partners who help us with website analytics for more information about these parties, please see our Cookies Statement.

We may disclose personal information about you to comply with applicable laws and when requested or obliged to do so by law enforcement agencies, or regulatory or other government bodies. We may also disclose personal information to external legal advisors in order to protect or defend our legal rights or obligations.
We may share anonymous statistics about our users and traffic patterns with our advertisers and other third parties. It will not be possible to identify you from such information. For example, we might report to potential advertisers that a certain percentage of our users are interested in its products, based on information requests. 7. How Long Do We Keep Your Information For?

We will only keep your information for as long as we need to – for example, we will keep your information for up to 12 months if you call, email or SMS text into one our radio shows.

We do not send any information about you, personal or otherwise to outside the UK or European Union.

9. Your Rights:

Under GDPR, you have the right to see what information we hold about you and the purposes for which we are using it. This is known as a Subject Access Request. In responding to such a request, we may ask for proof of your identity, to ensure that we do not send you personal data to another person. We will respond to any requests as soon as possible, but at least within 30 days.
