Rotherham resident named as finalist in Caremark’s 2025 ‘The Incredibles’ national awards

Caremark, a leading UK home care provider, has proudly announced the finalists for its prestigious annual UK awards, ‘The Incredibles’ and Andrew Uwareme from Caremark’s Rotherham & Sheffield office has been recognised in the country’s top ten care assistants. With over 6,500 care assistants across more than 140 Caremark franchises throughout the UK, the selection process was particularly competitive.

‘The Incredibles’ awards celebrate the extraordinary contributions of care assistants who demonstrate an exceptional dedication to providing outstanding care. Andrew stood out for his unwavering commitment to improving the lives of his customers, offering not only professional care but compassion and kindness that has a lasting impact on those he supports.

Andrew works with one young boy who has profound learning disabilities, autism and anxiety. Before he met Andrew, the boy’s behaviour could be very extreme, limiting his access to the local community and preventing him from enjoying life to the full. According to Mark McKenning, Managing Director of Caremark’s Rotherham & Sheffield office, Andrew’s dedication, patience and ability have had a profound impact on this little boy’s life.

“Andrew has shown huge resilience and consistency in the care he has given, helping to build his customer’s confidence and enable him to enjoy new adventures. How Andrew has expanded the young customer’s opportunities and experiences has been hugely positive for both the youngster and his family,” commented Mark.

To honour these inspiring care assistants, Caremark will be hosting a special event at the iconic Fortnum & Mason in London on 21st November 2025. The finalists will enjoy a luxurious afternoon tea and be celebrated for their extraordinary contributions to the care sector. The highlight of the event will be the exciting announcement of ‘The Incredible of the Year’, a title reserved for the finalist whose work has shown exceptional dedication and impact.
