Yorkshire really is the place to be in 2022 for big shows and festivals.

To get you excited for what’s to come we have compiled a list of great events set to take place across Yorkshire over the coming 12 months.

Our guide includes gigs and festivals happening in cities such as Sheffield and Leeds as well as other locations in Yorkshire.

Stormzy – Leeds First Direct Arena

March 16



Since the release of acclaimed debut Gang Signs & Prayer dubbed one of the most influential UK rap projects of all time, and his critically lauded second album ‘Heavy Is The Head’, Stormzy has become solidified as a global icon. As well as his Leeds show, Stormzy will also appear at Utilita Arena Sheffield on March 18.

The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time – Leeds Grand Theatre

April 12-16

Fifteen-year-old Christopher has an extraordinary brain. He is exceptional at maths, while everyday life presents some barriers. He has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road, he detests being touched and he distrusts strangers. When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbour’s dog, it takes him on a journey that upturns his world.

Book of Mormon – Leeds Grand Theatre

Performances in April and May

The outrageous musical comedy from creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and Bobby Lopez co-writer of Avenue Q and Frozen, follows the misadventures of a mismatched pair of missionaries, sent on a mission to a place that’s about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get. It will return to Leeds on April 19 and run until May 7.

Little Mix – Utilita Arena Sheffield

April 19



Returning as a three, Little Mix will take to the stage in Sheffield on April 19. You can also catch them at Leeds First Direct Arena on April 30. You’ll be treated to performances of hits such as Black Magic, Shout Out to My Ex and more.

Craig David – Leeds First Direct Arena

April 22

Like many other artists, Craig David was forced to postpone his tour but he will finally be coming to Leeds First Direct Arena in 2022. Expect to hear bangers like 7 Days and Fill Me In.

Scarborough Open Air Theatre summer concert series

Shows from May to August



Lionel Richie, Westlife, Bryan Adams and Ru Paul’s Drag Race are some of the massive name acts headlining an outdoor Yorkshire concert series. Other artists performing at Scarborough Open Air Theatre include Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, The Wombats, Crowded House and Lewis Capaldi.

Slam Dunk Festival – Leeds

June 3

The rock festival will be returning to Temple Newsam on June 3 next year. Rancid are the first headliners to be announced for the big outdoor party.

They will be joined by The Used, The Wonder Years, Motion City Soundtrack, Hot Milk and Meet Me At The Altar.

Live at Leeds: In The Park

June 4

The Live at Leeds team has announced plans for a new outdoor summer festival set to take place at Temple Newsam next summer.

The one-day event Live at Leeds: In The Park will be happening on June 4. The great news is the event is running in addition to the traditional Live at Leeds format.

The new, In The Park event, will be headlined by indie institution Bombay Bicycle Club. In a statement, the band said: “We are delighted to be returning to Live at Leeds next year to help launch their new festival Live at Leeds: In The Park.

Kings of Leon – Leeds First Direct Arena

June 14

The rock ‘n’ roll icons, and favourites amongst the Leeds Fest regulars, will be appearing in Leeds next summer. Expect to hear big hits like Use Somebody and Sex on Fire at the big night at the arena in Leeds.

Diana Ross – Leeds First Direct Arena

June 15

The music icon, who is playing Glastonbury Festival next summer, will be performing in Leeds as part of her UK dates for a show which is one not to be missed.

Halifax Piece Hall – Summer concert series

Shows from June to July



Some huge names are playing the beautiful Piece Hall venue in Halifax next summer. Artists already confirmed for the concert series include Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Nile Rodgers and Chic, Tom Grennan, Paloma Faith and Primal Scream.

Let’s Rock Leeds

June 25

A huge host of 80s music legends will be coming to Leeds for an outdoor music festival.

Let’s Rock: The Retro Festival will be taking place at Temple Newsam, in Leeds, next year on June 25. The line up will include Wet Wet Wet, Billy Ocean, Tom Bailey, Nick Heyward, Go West, Nik Kershaw, Belinda Carlisle and more.

Millennium Square outdoor gigs – Leeds

Shows from July to August

We’ll see lots of top acts performing at the outdoor space in Leeds city centre over the summer of 2022. There will be shows from Foals, Haim, Tears for Fears, Jungle and more as well as the always popular Love Train from Brutus Gold.

Tramlines Festival – Sheffield

July 23 – 25



Tramlines Festival 2022 has announced a huge batch of big name artists for the Sheffield event.

The festival will be returning to Hillsborough Park, in Sheffield, between July 22 and 24. Headliners at Sarah Nulty’s Main Stage include Sam Fender, Kasabian and Madness.

Other big names scheduled to perform include The Wombats, The Vaccines, James, Declan McKenna, Sigrid, Becky Hill, Reverend and The Makers, Little Man Tate, Shed Seven, Self Esteem, The Coral and many more.

Bingley Weekender

August 5-7

Bingley will welcome The Libertines, Pixies, Rag’N’Bone Man for headline performances. Other acts on the bill include Embrace and Whites Lies.

The Popworld Festival – Leeds

August 6

The cheesiest event of the summer will be taking place in Millennium Square in Leeds. The Popworld Festival will welcome performances from Peter Andre, 5ive, S Club and Fatman Scoop while Yorkshire legend Paul Chuckle will also appear.

Leeds Festival

August 26-28

October 15

As well as their show at Scarborough Open Air Theatre the Irish pop faves will be performing at arenas in Yorkshire. Firstly, they will be in Leeds on November 22 followed by a performance at Utilita Arena Sheffield on November 28.
