Live A629 traffic updates as Rotherham road closed due to ‘police incident’ with long queues

A ‘police incident’ has shut a Rotherham road this morning (Fri).

The A629 New Wortley Road has been shut by officers on the eastbound carriageway.

Traffic management system Inrix reports the ‘incident’ has taken place between the A6109 Wilton Gardens and the Aldi supermarket.
