Live M1 traffic updates as junction 33 exit shut with huge queues on motorway

Congestion is building on the M1 near Rotherham as a result of a crane breaking down on the road.

The northbound lane on the exit slip road by junction 33 has been closed and there is congestion building at the scene.

The crane has broken down where roadworks are currently taking place and there are delays on Rotherham Gateway as a result.
