Three children are victims in Killamarsh tragedy

Three children have been confirmed as victims in the Killamarsh tragedy, with a Sheffield school announcing it will stay closed today.

Outwood Academy City shared on Twitter it will remain closed today following the incident which “includes three of our students” but is open to pupils needing support.

The update comes after four people were found dead at a house in Chandos Crescent, Killamarsh, yesterday (Sunday). A man has been arrested in connection with the four deaths.

Sharing news of the closure, the academy tweeted: “It is with great sadness that the academy will be closed today.

“A tragic incident has taken place in the community involving 3 of our students. We will however be open to any students who need our support.

“Our thoughts are with all those affected by this sad news. We are working with the police and are unable to give more information at this time.”
