Moment smoke pours from Sheffield pizza shop as it bursts into flames

This is the moment that huge plumes of smoke poured from a Sheffield takeaway after it burst into flames.

Firefighters were called to the scene of the blaze in Mansfield Road in the city at around 4pm today, Saturday September 18, after reports of a large fire.

A large group of people could be seen stood on the pavement outside of Pizza Paradise watching the drama unfold this afternoon.

Multiple fire crews could be seen at the scene trying to douse the flames.

Mansfield Road was also closed off for a time while the fire was brought under control by firefighters.

Pizza Paradise is labelled as “not taking orders at the moment” on takeaway delivery site Just Eat.

It is not yet clear if anyone was injured or the amount of damage caused from the blaze.

Earlier today Stagecoach Yorkshire put an update out to say: “#SHEFFBUS Due to a fire on Mansfield Road all service 120 are being diverted via Hollybank Road,Normanton Hill & Woodhouse Road in both directions until further notice.

“Sorry for any inconvenience.”

However, the road has since been re-opened.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue have been contacted for more information on the blaze.
