Live updates as A633 in Rotherham shut in both directions after crash

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a crash on the A633 Rawmarsh Hill in Rotherham.

The road is closed in both directions between Netherfield Lane and Greasbrough Road following the accident at the junction of Frances Street.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes.

Traffic monitoring system Inrix reports: “A633 Rawmarsh Hill in both directions closed, slow traffic due to accident between Netherfield Lane and Greasbrough Road (The Travellers Inn).

“Accident has occurred at the junction of France Street.”

The road closure is also affection bus services.

Stagecoach Yorkshire told customers: “Due to a police incident we’re currently unable to serve Rawmarsh Hill all services are diverted Via Barbers Avenue in both directions.”

South Yorkshire Police have been approached for more information.
