Fish and chips is the ultimate takeaway treat and we are celebrating the very best in Yorkshire.

We’ve consulted the Fry Awards 2021 list who crowned their top 50 fish and chip takeaway shops in the UK. The list was formed following a strict testing process in their quest for the very best.

They picked their 50 following an unannounced mystery dining visit to businesses with them being graded on 40 different aspects.

You can find the latest food and drink news from across Yorkshire by visiting our What’s On homepage

This included the quality of the food, customer service, covid practices and social media presence amongst other criteria.

Of course, the food was a main focus with establishments being ranked on the flakiness of the fish, the crispness of the chips and the crunch of the batter, alongside value for money on offer.

There are four Yorkshire businesses which featured in Fry Awards top 50 fish and chip shop takeaways.
