Live M18 traffic updates as huge queues in South Yorkshire after car fire

There are huge queues along the M18 in South Yorkshire after a car fire.

Emergency services were called to the scene in the southbound carriageway between junction two for the A1M and junction one for the A631 at around 1pm today, Wednesday July 21.

All traffic was temporarily held at around 1pm while emergency services work at the scene.

This is causing huge queues back along the motorway and in the other carriageway as motorists slow down to watch.

South Yorkshire Police have been contacted for more information about the blaze on the motorway.
