A Sheffield restaurant is offering hundreds of people the chance to get a free meal today as they celebrate their official re-opening on ‘Freedom Day’.

Pho, a Vietnamese restaurant in Leopold Square, has been hit by a series of openings and closures after it opened just weeks before the pandemic first hit.

The restaurant, owned by Sheffield Hallam alumni couple Stephen and Juliette Wall, are doing something special to celebrate its official re-opening.

Hundreds of flyers have been dotted around the centre with QR codes on for hundreds of free pho noodle soups, curries and beers.

Stephen Wall, MD of Pho said “We opened our Leopold Square restaurant only four weeks before the initial lockdown of March 2020, so we’re viewing today as our re-launch day, and a proper chance to thank the people of Sheffield for their support over the last 15 months or so.

“We look forward to celebrating ‘Freedom Day’ with our regular customers as well as offering this treat to people who’ve not had a chance to come and check us out yet.”

The hundreds of red flyers are dotted around Sheffield City Centre including near the train station and as you make your way into town through Howard Street and Surrey Street.
