The hottest place in Yorkshire this weekend with temperatures of 26C

Temperatures will reach up to 26C in some parts of Yorkshire this weekend.

If you were planning to spend your time off outdoors, this weekend’s weather forecast is in your favour.

Rotherham will experience the highest temperatures with 26C on Sunday.

The rest of Yorkshire is not far behind with top temperatures of 25C in the south, west and north of the county.

For the rest of the county, the Met Office forecasts a dry, hot Saturday and Sunday, ideal for a day at the beach or a walk in our beautiful countryside – don’t forget to wear sunscreen!

Below is the Met Office forecast for some of Yorkshire’s towns and cities.

Rotherham

It will be a sunny weekend in Rotherham. Saturday will start of slightly cloudy which will clear up by 10am for a sunny day.

From 6am temperatures will slowly increase throughout the morning and peak at 2pm with 21 °C.

Saturday evening will be lovely and mild with temperatures dropping from 20 °C to 15 °C between 6pm and 11pm.

Sunday will be even hotter with maximum temperatures of 26 °C. It will be cloudy for most of the afternoon which will clear up at around 7pm.

Sheffield

A cloudy Saturday morning will give way to some glorious sunshine by 11am. Temperatures will reach up to 21 °C in the afternoon.

Sunday will be even better with reaching up to 25 °C.

There will be some clouds in the afternoon but it will otherwise be a fine day.

Doncaster

Doncaster will be slightly cloudy on Saturday morning but by 12pm this will have cleared up and give way to a sunny day.

Maximum temperatures of 21 °C.

Sunday will start of sunny but change to cloudy by lunchtime. Temperatures are expected to reach up to 25 °C.

Barnsley

Slightly cloudy in the morning which will clear up by 10am.

Temperatures on Saturday are expected to reach 19 °C.

Sunday will be significantly warmer despite it being cloudier. Maximum temperatures of 25 °C.

Leeds

A cloudy Saturday morning but the rest of the day will be gloriously sunny. Temperatures are expected to peak at 2pm with 20 °C.

Sunday will be mostly sunny with some clouds in the afternoon and temperatures of 25 °C.

Huddersfield

It will be slightly cloudy on Saturday morning between 6am and 9am which will then clear up.

Temperatures are expected to reach up to 19 °C.

Sunday will be a lot warmer with maximum temperatures of 24 °C. It is expected to be cloudy for most of the afternoon.

Bradford

Sunny intervals throughout Saturday for Bradford. Temperatures will reach up to 19 °C.

Sunday will start of sunny but change to cloudy by lunchtime. It will clear up completely by 7pm.

Temperatures will reach up to 25 °C.

Wakefield

A few clouds are expected on Saturday morning until 11am but the rest of the day will be splendid.

Temperatures will reach up to 20 °C.

Sunday will be even hotter with 25 °C forecast for the afternoon. It will be cloudy between 1pm and 7pm but the rest of the evening will be sunny.

York

A relatively sunny Saturday with some clouds up until 5pm when it will clear up completely. Temperatures will reach up to 21 °C.

Sunday will be cloudy in the afternoon but temperatures will reach up to 25 °C.

Scarborough

Scarborough will experience a sunny Saturday morning which will change to cloudy by lunchtime.

Temperatures will peak at 3pm with 16 °C.

Similar to other parts of Yorkshire, Scarborough is expected to have a cloudy afternoon on Sunday but a sunny evening from 7pm.

Maximum temperatures 24 °C.
