Parts of Yorkshire could be warmer than parts of Portugal this weekend as spring weather returns to the UK.

Temperatures in parts of the county could rise to as warm as 17°C on Sunday, according to The Weather Channel.

By comparison temperatures in the Portuguese city of Porto are not expected to exceed 15°C on the same day.

Spring-like temperatures are expected to return to Yorkshire following the bank holiday weekend’s washout and this week’s unseasonably cold temperatures.

But it won’t be cracking flags and nor will it be particularly dry.

Temperatures will shift from cool to moderately warm by Sunday but showers are forecast to continue.

Here’s a quick guide for the remainder of the week, the weekend and next week for your area.
