The 13 places in South Yorkshire where Covid is virtually non existent

There are a number of areas in South Yorkshire were case numbers are so low coronavirus has virtually been wiped out.

A total of 13 places in the county have recorded less than three cases of the virus according to the latest testing data.

Public Health England marks every new case of the virus on an interactive map of the UK, with areas with fewer than three new cases coloured white.

The vaccination programme and the ongoing national lockdown have brought new case numbers right down and there are now many Middle layer Super Output Areas (MSOAs) – coloured white in South Yorkshire.

Areas with less than three cases are spread right across the county.

However, the majority are found in and around Sheffield with Rotherham having no white areas what so ever according to figures.
